The US Trade Representative recently published its 2015 National Trade Estimate Report, underscoring the efforts expended to promote US agricultural exports through leveling of the playing fields. There are some very encouraging, real results. It is easy to become disillusioned by the often tedious and drawn out negotiations involving removing trade barriers, especially when agriculture is at stake. Kudos to the USTR team, current and past, who are so consistently serving trade interests over multiple governmental administrations.
